DAVENPORT, Iowa. ( April 27, 2014 ) - The Quad Cities River Bandits host the Clinton LumberKings in a five-game, four-day series from Monday, April 28, through Thursday, May 1, at Modern Woodmen Park. Below are the highlights of promotions and events for the home stand.
Monday, April 28, 6:00 p.m. (Gates open at 5:00 p.m. ) Sponsors: 97X
- Markdown Monday presented by 97X - With Quad Cities playing a doubleheader with the Clinton LumberKings starting at 6 p.m., fans can buy $2 bleacher and berm tickets for admission to both games! On top of that, fans can purchase $2 beers, sodas, hot dogs, peanuts, nachos and popcorn.
Tuesday, April 29, 11:00 a.m. (Gates 9:30 a.m. ) Sponsors: Pepsi, WOC and Q-106.5
- Book Buddies Game - The River Bandits host the graduates of the Book Buddies program for their first weekday matinee at home this season. The students who completed the program will get to participate in a pregame parade on the field 45 minutes before first pitch.
Wednesday, April 30, 7:00 p.m. (Gates 5:30 p.m. ) Sponsors: U.S. Bank and Mix 96
- Superhero Night - Get ready for some SUPER promotions at Modern Woodmen Park. Fans who wear superhero shirts receive $1 off any ticket, while any fan that buys a ticket wearing a superhero costume will receive another one of equal or lesser value free! Rascal will make a special superhero entrance, and there will be superhero-themed contests and movie ticket giveaways during the game!
- Pay Your Bill Wednesday presented by U.S. Bank and Mix 96 - Fans can bring a copies of their unpaid bills to Modern Woodmen Park and enter them in a drawing to be paid up to $100 by the River Bandits. The team will randomly select two to be paid.
Thursday, May 1, 7:00 p.m. (Gates 5:30 p.m. ) Sponsors: Rock 104-9 and River Cities' Reader
- College Night - All college students who bring their student ID to Modern Woodmen Park can buy tickets for just $2! The River Bandits will host a fundraising competition for the Bandit Scholars Program. The college whose bucket receives the most donations will have its fight song played in the seventh inning.
- Military Camo Drawstring Backpack giveaway presented by Western Illinois University-Quad Cities - Military Appreciation month kicks off, when the first 1,000 fans at Modern Woodmen Park will receive a Military Camo Drawstring Backpack presented by Western Illinois University-Quad Cities.
- Thirst-day Thursday presented by Rock 104-9 and River Cities' Reader - Fans can enjoy $2 drink specials throughout the game.
- Buy One-Get One presented by IH Mississippi Valley Credit Union - All Thursday tickets for IHMVCU members are buy-one, get-one free. Fans must show membership at the box office to receive the ticket special.
UP NEXT: A doubleheader on Markdown Monday opens the next River Bandits homestand on April 28. Bleacher and berm tickets, as well as hot dogs, peanuts, popcorn and nachos are $2 each.
