Riptide Announce 2004 Open House

SAN DIEGO – The San Diego Riptide will be holding their 2004 Open House on Thursday, March 18th. The team will be participating in its first official practice of the season, which will be completely open to the public.

The open house will begin at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday, Mar. 18 at the Sports Arena. Parking and admission will be free and fans will have an opportunity to watch the players practice from 5:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. A cocktail hour will be held in the Arena Club for all media and corporate sponsors from 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. and players and coaches will be available for interviews throughout the night. Head coach Mouse Davis will also be making a brief speech detailing the exciting changes in store for the Riptide in 2004.

The Riptide Dance Team will also be on hand, signing autographs, posing for pictures and performing on the field.

Fans will have thier cameras out too because after practice concludes all fans will be allowed onto the field, where players will be available for autographs and pictures. Fans will then have a chance to submit their best pictures for a chance to win two free season tickets and have their picture featured in the Riptide's 2004 yearbook!

There will also be raffles and prizes for the fans, who will have an opportunity to purchase tickets for all eight of the Riptide's exciting home games this season. Individual tickets start at just $12 each and season tickets to all eight games can be purchased for just $96.

The Riptide's home opener is now just 29 days away. They'll kick off af2 football in San Diego on April 9 against the Green Bay Blizzard at 7:00 p.m. at the Sports Arena.
