Arkansas RimRockers News Release

LITTLE ROCK, AR - Matt Haryasz finally returned to his old self recording his first double-double since returning from injury with a team high 23 points and 12 rebounds, but the Arkansas RimRockers again found themselves a little short as they dropped the contest to Anaheim 115-112 at Alltel Arena.

Clay Tucker's three-point attempt as time ran out bounced off the rim to send Arkansas (6-12) to their 10th consecutive defeat. The win moved the Arsenal to a record of 8-12.

"They took us to the basket," said RimRockers Head Coach Andy Stoglin. "They drew a lot of fouls early. We haven't done a good job the last two games at stopping penetration; if we don't stop penetration you're going to get a lot of fouls."

The RimRockers controlled every aspect of the game except for free throws where the Arsenal went to the charity stripe 41 times connecting on 90.2% of them. The RimRockers struggled at the line only converting 64.3% of their 28 attempts.

Jawad Williams led all scorers, including five Arsenal players in double digits, with 29 points. MaJic Dorsey's 19 and 4 assists off the bench helped guide Anaheim to the win.

The final quarter saw both teams put on an offensive show as they both netted 41 points in the fourth. After falling behind by 13 with 5:11 remaining in the game, RimRockers guard Clay Tucker put the team on his back scoring 15 of his 22 points; while also putting in a game high 8 dimes.

Brian Jackson missed his third straight game with a deep thigh contusion, but in his place the starting frontcourt of Marcus Campbell, Haryasz, and Tyrone Sally combined for 52 points, 22 boards, and five rejections.

The RimRockers will head to Sioux Falls for the MLK NBA D-League Showcase on Monday where they will try to end their losing streak as they take on the Idaho Stampede in an 11:00 a.m. showdown. The Arsenal will visit the Dakota Wizards before traveling to the Showcase.
