Winston-Salem Dash News Release


The Chicago White Sox have announced the following moves affecting the Winston-Salem Dash:

- RHP Ryan Buch promoted to Winston-Salem from Low-A Kannapolis

- RHP J.R. Ballinger promoted to Triple-A Charlotte from Winston-Salem

- RHP Matt Heidenreich promoted to Double-A Birmingham from Winston-Salem

Buch is back in Winston-Salem after going 4-5 with a 5.98 ERA in 13 appearances (10 starts) with the Dash. He had been with Low-A Kannapolis, where he threw 10 innings and allowed just one run.

Since being activated off the disabled list in late April, Ballinger has gone 0-2 with a 4.70 earned run average in 16 appearances. This is Ballinger's second trip to Triple-A after appearing in one game with the Knights last year.

The Carolina League's starter in the All-Star Game two weeks ago, Heidenreich went 8-2 with a 3.57 earned run average in 15 starts with the Dash. With the CL, Heidenreich is tied for first in wins (8), third in innings pitched (93.1), sixth in WHIP (1.08) and 11th in ERA (3.57).
