
Riders fall in Ohio 4-3

Columbus, Ohio- The host Ohio Junior Blue Jackets scored four third period goals on the way to a 4-3 win over the RoughRiders Friday night.
The Blue Jackets trailed 1-0 until Derek Roehl swept the puck home from the left wing circle at 7:14 of the third. The Riders retook the lead just 21 seconds later when Mike Seidel buried a Robin Bergman centering pass, but the Blue Jackets would rebound with three straight goals.
At 9:03 Patrick Goebel jammed the puck in from the doorstep to make it 2-2. The Blue Jackets took the lead for the first time when Dan Hobbs tucked a rebound home with 2:55 left in regulation. Just Cseter's empty net goal extended the Ohio lead to 4-2 with just 1:15 remaining.
Scott Mathis's wrister from the slot cut the gap to 4-3 with 13 second left, but the Blue Jackets held on for the win.
The RoughRiders and Blue Jackets produced six goals in a span of 12:33 in the third period after the Riders scored the only goal of the first 40 minutes. Cedar Rapids took a 1-0 lead while on the power play when Matt Donovan buried a Kyle Flanagan centering pass from the doorstep at 10:19 of the first period
