FRISCO, Texas - The Riders fell 8-4 in Thursday's rubber match against Springfield at Dr Pepper Ballpark.
SYNOPSIS
* Tony Sanchez homered to begin a two-run seventh inning, pushing his hitting streak to seven games in the process.
* Reliever Walker Weickel tossed 2 2/3 scoreless innings and hasn't allowed a run in his last 13 frames.
* The Riders tied the game 1-1 in the bottom of the third on an RBI from Eliezer Alvarez before Springfield broke the tie with a five-run fifth.
KEY RIDERS PERFORMERS
* Collin Wiles: 4 IP, 5 H, 1 ER, 0 BB, 3 K
* Walker Weickel: 2 2/3 IP, 1 H, 0 ER
* Tony Sanchez: 1-for-4, HR, RBI

* Weickel's scoreless streak is his second-longest this season. He tossed 17 2/3 scoreless innings April 4-May 3.
