Cedar Rapids, Iowa - Kent Patterson made 23 saves on the way to his first career United States Hockey League shutout and the host RoughRiders defeated the Green Bay Gamblers 3-0 Saturday night.
The Riders were on the power play when Robin Bergman one-timed a Mike Seidel centering feed home to open the scoring at 16:45 of the first period.
Pat Cannone extended the lead to 2-0 with just 11 seconds left in the first when he swept a wraparound past Green Bay goaltender Nick Graves.
Jacob Cepis capped off the Rider win when he streaked down the slot to make it 3-0 seven minutes into the third period.
