Saskatchewan Roughriders News Release
April 11, 2003 - The Saskatchewan Roughriders Football Club and SaskTel Mobility are putting out a call to Rider fans. The Roughriders and Mobility are teaming up in an exclusive fund-raising effort for the Canadian Football League franchise.
In its continuing commitment to the team, SaskTel Mobility is proud to issue limited-edition Saskatchewan Roughriders faceplates for Nokia 3285 cellular phones. Mobility customers can now give their phones a new look and show their support for the Riders, as five dollars from the sale of every faceplate will be donated to the community-owned team. Only 1,200 Saskatchewan Roughriders faceplates will be available for sale.
"Teaming up with SaskTel Mobility is a great partnership,"stated Roughriders Director of Marketing and Corporate Sales Trent Fraser. "Having the Rider logo on Saskatchewan's most popular cell phone is a great benefit to SaskTel Mobility, the Riders and our fans."
With the Riders hosting the Grey Cup in November, now is a great time to purchase a Nokia 3285 cellular phone along with a Saskatchewan Roughriders faceplate and activate it on the SaskTel Mobility network. For those customers who already own a Nokia 3285 phone, it's an exciting opportunity to proudly proclaim their support for the Riders. It's the ultimate phone customizing experience for football fans.
"As one of the team's main sponsors, SaskTel Mobility has always enjoyed a great relationship with the Saskatchewan Roughriders," said Stacey Sandison, General Manager SaskTel Mobility. "We are proud to offer a new product that will benefit the Riders and give our customers a new way of showing their support for the team."
The Saskatchewan Roughriders faceplates feature the team's logo and colour scheme. The new faceplates replace the standard faceplates on Nokia 3285 cellular phones. More than 47,000 of these phones have been sold by SaskTel Mobility dealers.
SaskTel Mobility customers and Saskatchewan Roughriders fans are invited to visit any Mobility dealer in the province to purchase a new faceplate and update the look of their phones. Faceplates can also be purchased through the Rider Store, your nearest SaskTel store or the Saskatchewan Roughriders web site (www.saskriders.com).
