
Riddle Returns to Mallards

MOLINE, Ill. (November 25, 2011) - The Quad City Mallards of the Central Hockey League have signed left wing Jake Riddle, the Mallards announced today.
Riddle, 28, returns to the Quad Cities after scoring 14 goals and totaling 27 points while piling up 120 penalty minutes in 53 games with the Mallards last year.
Over his first seven seasons, the 6' 1", 212-pound Riddle has scored 102 goals and notched 208 points in 383 career games while also spending 1233 minutes in the penalty box.
Riddle first signed with the Flock in November of 2010 after spending the bulk of the prior two campaigns with the Tulsa Oilers. The Minneapolis native arrived in Tulsa after a season-plus in England with the Hull Stingrays. He spent most his first three seasons in the ECHL, where he suited up for the Wheeling Nailers, Peoria Rivermen, Augusta Lynx, Phoenix Roadrunners and Utah Grizzlies. Riddle also played six American Hockey League games with the Portland Pirates in 2005-06.
Before turning pro Riddle enjoyed a four-year junior career in the Western Hockey League with the Seattle Thunderbirds, Tri-City Americans, Saskatoon Blades and Lethbridge Hurricanes. He was originally drafted by the Minnesota Wild in the eighth round of the 2001 National Hockey League Entry Draft with the two hundred thirty-ninth overall pick.
The Mallards return to the ice at the i wireless Center tonight at 7:05 p.m. to take on the Fort Wayne Komets. Fans attending that game will have the chance to take advantage of Black Friday merchandise specials at the Mallards Pro Shop in the i wireless Center.

Single game tickets are also available at the i wireless Center box office, at Ticketmaster outlets, through www.ticketmaster.com or through Ticketmaster charge-by-phone toll free. The box office is open weekdays from 10:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., on Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. and on game days from 10:00 a.m. until the start of the second period. Individual game tickets are available for $12 in the upper level and $17 in the lower level and $25 for the first row along the glass for adults. Tickets for kids 12 and under are available for $5 off adult rates. In addition, tickets are available to military personnel for $2 off the regular adult rate.
