St. John's IceCaps News Release
BUD'S A STUD: IceCaps top scorer Bud Holloway finished up the season with 19 goals, 42 assists and 61 points in 70 games this year.
Holloway's numbers rank him sixth overall in the AHL regular season scoring race.
FAN APPRECIATION: The IceCaps would like to thank all fans, staff and volunteers for their continued support over the season.
FAN'S CHOICE: Eddie Pasquale won the IceCaps' Fan Choice Award during an in-game text-to-vote on Saturday Night. Pasquale played in 30 games for the IceCaps this season, with 13 wins, a 2.62 GAA and 0.919 save percentage.
The IceCaps battled hard but couldn't catch up to the Hartford Wolf Pack in a loss at Mile One Centre on Friday night. Jayson Megna, Chris Summers and Niklas Jensen potted three goals before Michael McCarron found the back of the net to narrow the lead to two. The IceCaps couldn't continue the offence as Chad Nehring scored once more to stretch the lead to 4-1. The IceCaps donned Sport NL Stars and Legends jerseys for the game.
Tim Bozon potted the IceCaps game-winner with just 2:19 left in regulation against the Hartford Wolf Pack at Mile One Centre on Saturday night to close out the 2015-16 season on a winning note. Adam Tambellini got the Wolf Pack up on the board early in the second, but Jacob de la Rose (from Max Friberg and Gabriel Dumont) answered with a late period-tally. Mark MacMillan and Jeremy Gregoire picked up assists on Bozon's go- ahead goal in the third. Eddie Pasquale was outstanding in net, stopping 35-of-36 shots in the victory.
