Richmond Warriors announce open tryout

Richmond, VA. The ABA Richmond Warriors professional basketball team today announced that they will be holding open tryouts for the 2006-2007 season on Friday, September 8th and Friday, September 15th. These will be two separate tryout dates so participants only need to sign up for either one or the other. According to Coach Mike Davis, "We hope to finalize our roster with tryout participants and then begin the hard work that will bring the ABA title to Richmond. Hopefuls should sign up for either date and those players of interest will be contacted for future individual or team workouts. We've had a tremendous response, so if you are interested, please contact us immediately." The season starts November 10th.
Tryout Information is as follows:
Dates: Friday, Sep 8 and Fri, Sep 15
Time: Registration from 10am-1145am. Tryouts begin promptly at noon and last until 6pm.
Location: U-Turn Sports Performance Academy (the old Circuit City HQ
behind Anthem Blue Cross at intersection of Staples Mill Road and Broad Street/ 2101 Maywill St, Richmond, VA 23230, Phone: 804 358 2775.
Cost: $100 registration fee, all registration fees are non-refundable and payable by money order or cash.
Candidates must be 18 years of age with a high school degree or equivalent. Please be advised that participation in the open tryouts may jeopardize a player's NCAA eligibility. Players should wear appropriate shoes and clothing and come ready to compete.
