TONIGHT: The Richmond Flying Squirrels and New Britain Rock Cats will meet in game one of a three-game series...Three Reading hurlers combined on a one-hitter as the Phillies took the rubber match of the series from the Flying Squirrels 2-0 on Sunday afternoon at FirstEnergy Stadium.

TONIGHT'S STARTERS: Right-hander Daryl Maday gets the start in game one of the series for the Flying Squirrels...Got the win in his second straight start against New Britain on 4/20...Tossed eight scoreless innings, allowing just two hits while striking out four and walking none...Faced just one batter over the minimum...Both hits allowed came off of the bat of Alexander Soto...Only went three balls in the count to one of the 25 batters he faced...Retired the leadoff batter in all eight innings...Recorded 13 ground outs, six fly outs, and four strike outs...Threw 86 pitches, 58 strikes...Did not throw more than 15 pitches in an inning...Eight innings of work was the longest outing of his career...Has not allowed a run in his last 16 2/3 innings of work...Improved to 3-0 in five career starts against New Britain with a 1.99 ERA (7ER/31.2 IP)...Seeking his third straight winning decision for the first time since winning four in-a-row 8/9/08-8/25/08.

Left-hander Tyler Robertson gets the nod in game one of a three-game series....Was supposed to start yesterday's series finale with Harrisburg that was postponed due to rain...Received a no-decision in his last start which came against Richmond on 4/20...Worked five scoreless innings while allowing just four hits...Struck out four and walked one...Threw 74 pitches, 46 strikes...Had his start at Harrisburg cut short due to rain (4/16) after giving up one run on two hits in two innings...Was matched up with Stephen Strasburg...Did not factor into the decision...Gave up three runs on seven hits in 4 2/3 innings against New Hampshire in his first start...Struck out one and walked one, but did not factor into the decision...Spent all of 2009 with Advanced-A FTM and went 8-8 with a 3.33 ERA in 26GS...103K/51BB in 143.1 IP...Began 2008 in Extended Spring Training before joining FTM and making 15 starts...Went 5-3 with a 2.72 ERA, striking out 73 and walking 31 in 82.2 IP...Appeared in 18G/16GS with Low-A BEL in 2007...Went 9-5 with a 2.29 ERA while striking out 123 and walking 33 in 102.1 IP...Selected by MIN in the 3rd round of the 2006 First-Year Player Draft.

NO "O": The Flying Squirrels were shutout out for the second time this season in yesterday's 2-0 loss to the R-Phils...Richmond was blanked by Altoona 1-0 in 14 innings on 4/13 at Blair County Ballpark...The club ranks last in the Eastern League in total runs scored having just plated 45 runs on the season...New Britain has scored the second-fewest runs (46)...The two teams are the only ones to have not scored more than five runs in a game this season.

NOT SO GRAND FINALE: The Flying Squirrels fell to 1-4 in series finales with yesterday's 2-0 loss to the R-Phils...The club's lone win in the final game of a series came on 4/21 against New Britain...Yesterday was Richmond's first rubber match of the season...The Flying Squirrels fell to 2-3 in series this season.

NOCTURNAL SQUIRRELS: The Flying Squirrels are 0-3 in day games this season after yesterday's 2-0 loss...Richmond also lost 4-1 at Bowie on 4/11 and fell to Reading 5-2 on 4/18...The team is 8-6 in night games.

ALIVE AFTER FIVE?: The Flying Squirrels fell to 0-6 when trailing after five innings with yesterday's 2-0 loss to Reading...On the flip side, the club is 6-0 when leading after five innings...Richmond is 2-3 when tied after five innings.

HIT LIST: The Flying Squirrels dropped to 0-5 when being outhit by their opponent after being outhit by the R-Phils 7-1 yesterday...Richmond is 6-2 when it gets more hits than its opponent...The club is 2-2 when getting the equal number of hits.

HORSESHOES AND HAND GRENADES: All 17 games for the Flying Squirrels this season have been decided by three runs or less..A save has been recorded for the victorious team in 15 of the 17...The average margin of victory/defeat is 2.0 runs (34R/17G).

DOUBLETREE DOWNTOWN DOUBLE PLAYS: The Richmond Flying Squirrels have turned 21 double plays in their first 17 games...The club leads the Eastern League in double plays...Binghamton and Bowie have both turned 19 double plays.

THE SHERIFF: Jackson Williams has now thrown out seven of the 13 runners (53.8%) who have attempted to steal against him...The 23-year-old is tied with Erie's Max St. Pierre for the highest percentage of throwing out base runners...Overall, the Flying Squirrels have thrown out eight of 16 base runners (50%)...It is the second-highest percentage in the Eastern League trailing only New Britain (56.3%).

CFS STAT OF THE NIGHT: The Flying Squirrels managed only one hit against the R-Phils on Sunday afternoon as Reading starter Phillippe Aumont tossed six hitless frames.
