Potomac Nationals News Release
The Washington organization announced that RHP Zach Dials has been promoted to AA Harrisburg. Over 17 appearances in the Carolina league, he was 1-0 with a 3.24 ERA. Signed after being released by Toronto in May, Dials had struck out 30 and walked just five in 25 innings of work. Dials had gone scoreless over his last three game for Potomac. No corresponding roster move has been announced. For the time, the Nationals will play with 24 active players which do not include MLB rehab pitchers Jordan Zimmermann, tonight's starter, and Scott Olsen, who is set to pitch tomorrow at Winston-Salem. Potomac plays two with Salem tonight starting at 5:30 p.m. Zimmermann will make his fourth start for the P-Nats in game one in his comeback from Tommy John surgery. LHP Danny Rosenbaum, a SAL All-Star, is slated to start game two in his Carolina League debut.
