Winston-Salem Dash News Release
The Chicago White Sox have announced the following roster moves affecting the Winston-Salem Dash:
- RHP Vince Arobio promoted to Double-A Birmingham from Winston-Salem
- RHP Tyler Johnson reinstated off Double-A Birmingham's injured list and transferred to Winston-Salem
Arobio, a former 24th-round pick out of Pacific, did not allow a run in six appearances for Winston-Salem this season. Between Low-A Kannapolis and Winston-Salem, Arobio is posting a 2.00 ERA this year.
Johnson, a former fifth-round pick out of the University of South Carolina, began the season on the Barons injured list before making three appearances with the AZL White Sox. Last season, Johnson thrived in the back end of the bullpen for the Dash, posting a 1.45 ERA while striking out 43 batters in 31.0 innings pitched.
The Dash's current active roster stands at 25 players, the Carolina League maximum, with five players on the injured list.
