PEARL, MS - On Thursday, April 19 the Atlanta Braves promoted RHP Devan Watts to the Double-A Mississippi Braves from the High-A Florida Firefrogs. In a corresponding move the Braves have placed C Sal Giardina back on the 7-Day Disabled List.
In twenty appearances with the M-Braves in 2017, Watts went 0-2 with a 2.25 ERA while striking out 31 batters and walking 13.
Giardina has only appeared in one game for the M-Braves in 2018.
The active roster stands at 25 with 1 MLB Rehab, 6 on the Disabled List and 1 on the Suspended List.
