York Revolution News Release

(York, Pa.): Over the past weekend, the York Revolution drew 15,828 fans for three home games against the Somerset Patriots at Santander Stadium, their nine-year-old ballpark in Downtown York. The attendance total is a 2015 season-high for a Revolution three-game series.

Friday evening, a Santander Stadium season-high crowd of 6,628 came through the turnstiles, to be followed by crowds of 5,781 on Saturday and 3,779 on Sunday. The composite attendance for the weekend was better than 2,000 fans over the previous best three-game series against a single opponent this season.

The weekend also came within 800 fans of the best-attended three-game series of all time at Santander Stadium; 16,643 fans were drawn to the ballpark September 16-18, 2011 against the Southern Maryland Blue Crabs.

Sunday's crowd was treated to more late-inning heroics from York, more the norm this season than the exception. Trailing 2-1 in the bottom of the 14th inning, RBI base hits from James Simmons and Jose Constanza tied and won the game with just one out for the Revolution. It was also the longest win in terms of innings played in Santander Stadium history.

20% of the York Revolution's home schedule still remains this season; the team has 14 September home games. For the full schedule, promotional schedule and easy online ticket ordering, fans should visit YorkRevolution.com.
