The York Revolution completed a four-game series sweep and won their seventh consecutive game overall with an 11-0 victory over the Long Island Ducks in front of 4,405 fans at Sovereign Bank Stadium on Thursday evening. With the win, the Revs stay within 1.5 games of first place in the Freedom Division's second half, while increasing their Wild Card lead to 5.5 games over Somerset, who they'll face on the road to kick off a six-game road trip on Friday night.

The Revs jumped out to a quick lead on a two-run single up the middle by Johan Limonta in the bottom of the first inning, and a two-run double down the left field line by Scott Grimes in the second. Travis Scott added an RBI single to right field in the third, as the Revs built an early 5-0 lead against Ducks starter Bubbie Buzachero (0-1).

Long Island reliever Adam Rowe worked a scoreless middle three innings, but the Revs lit Rowe for four runs in the seventh to turn the game into a laugher. Limonta lined a two-run double down the left field line, part of a 4-for-5 night with four RBI, while Chris Nowak crushed a line drive two-run home run to left. Nowak added another two-run homer to deep left an inning later to cap the scoring.

The outburst came in support of Revs starter Chris Waters (4-5) who tied season-highs with 7.0 innings pitched and six strikeouts in the combined shutout, while allowing just five hits. The lefty escaped a bases loaded jam with two outs in the seventh to keep the shutout intact.

Adam Thomas fired a perfect eighth inning for the Revs, while Yunior Novoa closed it with a scoreless ninth to finish the Revs' eighth shutout of the year, just one shy of matching the team's single-season record.
