York Revolution News Release
The York Revolution has agreed to contract terms with Red Lion High School graduate and Brogue, PA resident, Travis Hake. The infielder officially signed his contract at the Revolution's just-opened team store in downtown York on Thursday morning. Hake is the tenth player to agree to terms with the Revolution.
The 30-year-old Hake was originally drafted in 2000 by the Milwaukee Brewers and spent the last two seasons playing with the Lancaster Barnstormers. During the Barnstormers inaugural season in 2005, Hake batted .295 with 52 RBI and 42 stolen bases in 131 games. He was named Lancaster's Co-Player of the Year that season. Last year, Hake helped the club to an Atlantic League championship by playing in 75 games despite injuries.
"I am thrilled about the opportunity to play in my hometown and to be part of another, inaugural season," Hake said. "From experience, I know what the excitement of a new ballpark and a new team can bring to the community, and I am glad that I will be a part of it here in my hometown of York."
The Revolution new, downtown team store officially opened on Friday and will be open each Monday - Friday, from 9am - 5pm. New inventory of official team merchandise, along with Revolution season ticket packages, are available at the 216 N. George Street location. The team store, which is only a few blocks away from the site of Sovereign Bank Stadium, will also be open this Saturday from 10am - 3 pm.
The Revolution is scheduled to begin play at Sovereign Bank Stadium on May 15. Season ticket packages and group event opportunities are now available by visiting the team's website at www.YorkRevolution.com, or by calling 717-801-HITS.
