Revolution One-Day Ticket Sale

December 5, 2008 - Atlantic League (AtL)
York Revolution News Release

(York, Pa): York Revolution fans can guarantee themselves tickets to 2009 Opening Day, by purchasing them at the Revolution's special one-day ticket sale on Saturday, December 13 from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. at Sovereign Bank Stadium. After that time, single game tickets for Revolution baseball will not be on sale again until a date this spring to be announced.

On 12/13, fans may also purchase tickets to any of the Revolution's 70 home games at Sovereign Bank Stadium in 2009. 2009 pocket schedules will also be available to fans at the stadium that day, detailing the entire 2009 game schedule and many of the in-stadium promotions.

There will be a heightened interest in Opening Day tickets, as the Revolution will open their third season in downtown York against their bitter cross-river rivals, the Lancaster Barnstormers, for the first time. Fans are encouraged to secure their tickets sooner than later, to ensure being a part of the historic day. The only other way to secure tickets to any and all games is to purchase season tickets, which are on sale now. Fans should call 717-801-HITS for more details.

For the one-day ticket sale on December 13, any fan in attendance can treat themselves to a FREE hot chocolate, and several significant discounts on Revolution merchandise, just in time for the holiday season. The First Cap Team store will be running special deals on: caps, jerseys, jackets, stocking stuffers and much more. If shoppers can't decide on a certain gift, Revolution Gift Cards are also available in any amount.

Revolution mascot DownTown will also be in attendance throughout the day, in addition to Revolution starting pitcher Corey Thurman. Thurman is scheduled to appear from approximately Noon until 1 p.m., and will be happy to sign autographs and take pictures with fans.

The event will also feature a Christmas tree decorating contest, between multiple loyal sponsors of York Revolution baseball.

"It may only be December, but we've had the 2009 season on our minds since the final out was made back in October," said Revolution Director of Ticketing Joe Charles. "We had a lot of fun with the one-day ticket sale last year, and it will feel good to sell those first tickets to Opening Day. Baseball is just around the corner."
