POSTGAME QUOTES: New England Revolution II 0 vs Inter Miami CF II 2

New England Revolution II Head Coach Clint Peay

On his overall assessment of the game:

Peay: "I didn't think we had the proper attitude to start the game, and we got punished for it. We didn't show up to play. We were reactionary in so many ways, on both sides of the ball and not the aggressor, so we got punished for it, but I thought the second half was better. There was more of a hunger and a desire to actually play the game in a positive way and take the initiative. And I thought that some of the changes that we made gave us a boost."

On Dylan Borrero:

Peay: "Yeah, he works incredibly hard. You can see that he's a very talented player. He can create things on the dribble, off the dribble, so his effort was great tonight. Obviously getting used to how we wanted to play I think in the first half took him awhile, but what I enjoyed about watching him tonight is regardless, he gave a good effort all game, and that's all we can ask of him."

Revolution II Forward Marcos Dias

*Translated from Portuguese

On playing alongside Dylan Borrero:

Dias: "Dylan is a great player and I'm happy to have been able to play along with him."

On his assessment of New England's performance:

Dias: "We played a game below what we are used to, but there is no despair. This team is very good and we will do our best in the next game to win."

On how the team will prepare for Orlando City B this week:

Dias: "We will train hard during the week, listen to what the coach has to say, analyze the opponent and give our best to the game."
