FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. - New England Revolution II (6-2-2, 21 pts.) fell to Inter Miami CF II (4-5-1, 13 pts.), 2-0, at DRV PNK Stadium on Saturday night. Tonight's lineup featured seven first team players staying sharp during the international break with Esmir Bajraktarevic, Dylan Borerro, Noel Buck, Jacob Jackson, Ben Reveno, Damian Rivera, and Ryan Spaulding all featuring in the starting lineup.

Jackson, who had kept five straight clean sheets entering the match, made five of his 10 saves in the first half. However, Miami's Shaan Hundal broke through in the 38th minute to send New England into halftime down by one goal. Miami extended their lead in the 56th minute with a goal from Tyler Bagley.

New England had four shots on target in the match, with forward Marcos Dias and defender Pierre Cayet each recording opportunities with headed shots that were blocked. Revolution II sees its three-game winning streak snapped with the loss, only the second of the season through 10 games of the MLS NEXT Pro campaign.

Goalkeeper Jacob Jackson made eight saves on 10 shots in the match. The loss is the first of Jackson's pro career as his record in MLS NEXT Pro moves to 6-1-2 with five shutouts through nine starts.

Midfielder Dylan Borrero logged the full 90 minutes and recorded a team-high four shots with two on target in his first appearance with New England's second team.

Defender Ben Reveno made his first start for Revolution II since signing his first team contract on May 31. It marked the rookie's eighth start in MLS NEXT Pro.

On his overall assessment of the game:

Peay: "I didn't think we had the proper attitude to start the game, and we got punished for it. We didn't show up to play. We were reactionary in so many ways, on both sides of the ball and not the aggressor, so we got punished for it, but I thought the second half was better. There was more of a hunger and a desire to actually play the game in a positive way and take the initiative. And I thought that some of the changes that we made gave us a boost."

On Dylan Borrero:

Peay: "Yeah, he works incredibly hard. You can see that he's a very talented player. He can create things on the dribble, off the dribble, so his effort was great tonight. Obviously getting used to how we wanted to play I think in the first half took him awhile, but what I enjoyed about watching him tonight is regardless, he gave a good effort all game, and that's all we can ask of him."
