New England Revolution News Release

FOXBOROUGH, Mass. - The New England Revolution (6-5-6; 24 pts.) will host FC Cincinnati (7-7-3; 24 pts.) on Sunday, July 3 for a 7:30 p.m. kickoff on the club's annual Salute to Heroes night at Gillette Stadium. The match airs locally on WSBK-TV38 and myRITV (Rhode Island) with Brad Feldman, Charlie Davies, and Tamara Brown calling the action. Sunday's contest also airs on the radio via 98.5 The Sports Hub and 1260 AM Nossa Radio in Portuguese.

New England extended its unbeaten streak to nine matches with an away draw in Vancouver last Sunday. The Revolution are 4-0-5 dating back to April 30, completing the months of May and June without a defeat, and have picked up points in their last five games at home. A 10-game undefeated streak would be the fourth in Revolution history, one shy of the club record, and the longest run without a loss in MLS this season.

New England leads the all-time series against FC Cincinnati, 4-1-0, including victories in four straight encounters. The two teams also met in U.S. Open Cup play on May 11 in Foxborough, a 5-1 triumph for the Revs. The Revolution registered a 3-2 victory over FC Cincinnati in the most recent meeting on May 21, featuring Tommy McNamara's 89th-minute game winner. McNamara, who signed a contract extension with New England earlier this week, has played in all 17 games thus far this season, but will be suspended for Sunday's match due to yellow card accumulation.

Last Sunday's draw was highlighted by goalkeeper Djordje Petrović's first MLS clean sheet, which landed the 22-year-old Serbian international on the MLSsoccer.com Team of the Week. With six saves, Petrović now owns an 84.2 save percentage through four starts, best in MLS (min. 15 saves), as backstopped a New England defense that has conceded just one goal from open play in the last four games.

Midfielder Dylan Borrero continues to add a new element to the Revolution attack as he approaches his fifth league start. The 20-year-old Colombian owns one goal and one assist through four MLS starts. He is quickly building chemistry with Designated Players Carles Gil and Gustavo Bou - two of the most in-form attacking players In MLS. Gil's eight assists this season remain tied for the league lead, while Bou is pacing New England with 35 shots despite missing two months due to injury. The Argentinian striker's next start will be his 60th in MLS.

Salute to Heroes Night

The Revolution will host the club's annual Salute to Heroes match on Sunday as the club honors local military, police, fire, and first responders, active and retired, for their service and dedication in keeping our communities safe. Revolution players will wear jerseys featuring special American Flag-themed numbers, set to be auctioned next week to benefit USO New England. At all entrance gates, new and gently used soccer equipment will be collected to benefit the United Heroes League in the latest installment of the Revolution Drive Series presented by Dan O'Brien Automotive Group. In addition, the club's "Dream Team" will feature 22 children of military families escorting players onto the field for pregame ceremonies.

Postgame Fireworks Display

Sunday's match will feature a postgame fireworks display to celebrate Independence Day, beginning shortly after the final whistle. Please note the fireworks will only be visible to fans attending the match. Tickets to Sunday's contest and all Revolution games are on sale now at Revolutionsoccer.net/tickets.
