ATLANTA - Atlanta United finishes its three-game road trip Sunday when it travels to face New York City FC at Yankee Stadium. The match is set to kick-off at 5 p.m. EST and will be regionally broadcast on Bally Sports South.

Atlanta holds a 4-4-3 all-time record against New York City FC: 3-0-2 at home and 1-4-1 on the road in the series. This is the first of two meetings between the clubs in 2022 as New York visits Mercedes-Benz Stadium on Oct. 9, the final day of the regular season.

Atlanta is coming off a 2-1 loss at New York Red Bulls on Thursday. Josef Martínez scored his fourth goal of the MLS season, tying him for the team lead with Luiz Araújo and Ronaldo Cisneros.

Midfielder Franco Ibarra picked up his fifth yellow card of the season on Thursday and will be suspended for this match, however Thiago Almada will be eligible to play after serving a three-game suspension.

Atlanta goalkeeper Rocco Ríos Novo has a passing accuracy of 89.6 %, which is the highest among MLS goalkeepers who have attempted at least 10 passes.

New York City is coming off a 4-4 draw at FC Cincinnati on Wednesday, coming back from three goals down. Taty Castellanos leads the team with eight goals, as NYCFC sits in fourth place in the Eastern Conference on 28 points.
