FOXBOROUGH, Mass. - Eastern Conference leaders New England Revolution posted a 2-1 victory over second-place D.C. United tonight, extending their unbeaten streak to seven games (6-0-1), including five straight wins.
Rookie Patrick Mullins scored his fourth goal in as many games to open the scoring for New England (7-3-2, 23 pts.), but Fabian Espindola equalized for D.C. (5-4-3, 18 pts.) seven minutes later. Diego Fagundez provided the game-winner in the 77th minute. Mullins' goal made him only the second rookie in MLS history to score in four consecutive games.
