York Revolution News Release

The York Revolution will be traveling throughout the region and participating in a wide array of community events as part of the Revolution Community Caravan Week from January 22-29. During the week, the club will be involved with an event each day in either the York, Hanover or Baltimore area.

"We are really looking forward to meeting as many fans as possible during the week," said Revolution General Manager Matt O'Brien. "With Opening Day less then four months away, we are excited about becoming actively involved in more and more events as we lead up to the start of our season in May."

The highlight of Revolution Community Caravan Week will be a special appearance by the recently-announced coaching staff at York Sports Night on Wednesday, January 24. Manager Chris Hoiles will be joined by Pitching Coach Tippy Martinez, and Baserunning/Outfield Coach and Community Ambassador Al Bumbry, at the 43rd annual event. The coaches will take part in both the celebrity reception at Heritage Hills Golf Resort, and the autograph session and program at the "old" Central York High School.

Hoiles, Martinez and Bumbry will be signing autographs at Central York High School from 6:15 - 7:15 p.m. They will then participate in a panel discussion as part of the program and awards ceremony, which begins at 7:15 p.m. The Revolution will have a booth on hand for the duration of the event, with a special enter-to-win contest for a chance to throw out a ceremonial first pitch prior to a game at Sovereign Bank Stadium during the 2007 inaugural season.

All three coaches, along with Revolution staff members, will also be appearing at the Baseball's Best Sports Show at the Baltimore Convention Center in downtown Baltimore. The event runs from Friday, January 26 - Sunday, January 28 and includes autograph sessions with members of the Baseball Hall of Fame, current and former Major Leaguers and members of the '83 World Series Orioles team. Fans are invited to visit the York Revolution at booth #412 during the event to pick up pocket schedules and other team information. In addition to their scheduled autograph sessions, the Revolution coaches will be appearing at the club's booth at various times throughout the weekend.

The final event of Revolution Community Caravan Week will feature a special appearance by Pitching Coach Tippy Martinez at the Hanover Rotary Sports Night on Monday, January 29. Martinez will be signing autographs and fielding questions at Southwestern High School, and the Revolution will have a booth with team information, pocket schedules and merchandise available.
