Richmond Revolution News Release
RICHMOND, VA.: The Indoor Football League and the Richmond Revolution announced their 2011 schedule earlier today. The 14 game season kicks off on Saturday, February 27 in Bloomington, IL. The Revolution plays its first home game of the season the next weekend, Saturday March 5, against the expansion Lehigh Valley Steelhawks. The Steelhawks join the Indoor Football League's Atlantic division along with the Reading Express, who left the AIFA following last season. The IFL season runs through Saturday, June 11, with the Revolution hosting the Express in a regular season finale that will complete an end of season home and home series against the division rival.
In addition to the opening game road trip to Bloomington, the Revolution also travel to visit each of the two other teams in the division, Lehigh Valley and Reading, as well as a second trip to Bloomington and a long trip to Green Bay, WI. The home schedule for the Revolution also includes 2 games against Lehigh Valley, Reading and the LaCrosse Spartans, as well as a rematch of last year's home opener against the Chicago Slaughter.

The Richmond Revolution are members of the Indoor Football League, and the 2010 IFL Franchise of the Year. SportsQuest has opened the East portion of their 250 acre campus, and is currently running programming for football, soccer, lacrosse and more. The campus is designed to host athletes of all skill levels, from recreational to Olympic training. Among SportsQuest's plans is the building of multiple facilities to house indoor football, indoor lacrosse, indoor soccer and other sports.
