
Republic FC Expand Local TV Broadcasts to Record Number of Matches for 2019 Season

SACRAMENTO, Calif. - Sacramento Republic FC released their TV schedule today for the 2019 USL Championship season. The club will exclusively partner with Hearst Television's KQCA My58 and Estrella TV Sacramento for a second consecutive year to broadcast 26 Republic FC matches this season.
"We're excited to partner with the KCRA family again this year to bring our passionate fans more coverage of our games than ever before," said Republic FC President & COO Ben Gumpert. "In both Spanish and English, on TV and on mobile, we know that our fans will have more ways to watch Republic soccer than ever before."
"We are proud to again partner with one of the most popular sports franchises in the Sacramento area," said KCRA 3 and KQCA My58 President and General Manager Elliott Troshinsky. "It is very exciting for us to be able to offer the Sacramento Republic FC games in both English and Spanish."
KQCA My58 and Estrella TV Sacramento will both broadcast 15 home games and 11 away games live, beginning with Republic FC's season opener on March 9 at 7:30 p.m. against Real Monarchs SLC. Highlights from the TV schedule include the club's first-ever encounter against league newcomers Austin Bold FC on April 6, rivalry matches against Reno 1868 FC on May 11 and June 29 and a road matchup against longtime foes LA Galaxy II on August 31. The 26-game schedule for broadcast is a record high for the club.
For a second year in a row, fans in the greater Sacramento/Stockton/Modesto area will be able to enjoy Spanish broadcasts of the games via Estrella TV Sacramento on digital channel 58.3, Comcast 377, Charter 200, CCI 16, Rancho Murieta 179 and Volcano 447.
English broadcasts on KQCA My58 will retain on-air talents Rob McAllister and Kevin Goldthwaite who will be reprising their roles as play-by-play announcer and color commentator, respectively, for a sixth consecutive season.
Additionally, all Republic FC regular season matches will continue to be broadcast live via ESPN+.
