
Rennette Staying with Jr. Blues

Springfield, Illinois - The Springfield Jr. Blues, proud members of the North American Hockey League (NAHL), are pleased to announce that former Head Coach and General Manager Tyler Rennette is staying with the organization in a Hockey Operations and Business Development role.
The North Bay, Ontario native announced in December that he was stepping down from his coaching role after the season to spend more time with his family. Rennette spent the last six seasons as the bench boss for the Jr. Blues and lead them to a combined record of 144-128-14-8. Tyler became the all-time winningest coach in Jr. Blues history with a 5-2 win in Janesville April 8, 2023.
Prior to his coaching career, Rennette enjoyed a nine year professional playing career in the AHL, ECHL, and UHL winning a Colonial Cup with the Kalamazoo Wings in 2004-05. Tyler spent most of his time with the Peoria Rivermen where he led the team in goals in 2003 (42) and 2004 (31). He was drafted by the St. Louis Blues in the second round (40th overall) in the 1997 NHL Entry Draft.
Tyler currently resides in Dunlap, IL with his wife Julie, two boys Owen (16) and Ryder (13), and daughter Stella (11).
