
Reign to Face Eagles in First Round of 2015 Kelly Cup Playoffs

ONTARIO, Calif. - The Ontario Reign, four-time ECHL Pacific Division Champions and proud ECHL affiliate of the NHL's 2014 Stanley Cup Champion Los Angeles Kings and Winnipeg Jets, will face the Colorado Eagles in the opening round of the 2015 Kelly Cup Playoffs in the first-ever postseason meeting between the two clubs.
Home ice advantage in the best-of-seven series is still yet to be determined, as the Reign currently sit ahead of the Eagles by three points in the Pacific Division standings, with Ontario currently occupying second place in the division, while Colorado sits in third place.
Ontario has 92 points in the standings with three games remaining on the schedule, all against the Alaska Aces this week in Anchorage. Colorado has 89 points and prepares to face the Utah Grizzlies in the Eagles' final two games of the regular season. The Eagles hold the tie-breaker against the Reign, should the teams finish the regular season with the same number of points in the standings.
There are two potential playoff schedules depending on which team earns home ice advantage.
If Ontario is able to earn home ice advantage, then the Reign will have home games on the following dates:
GAME A - Thursday, Apr. 16 at 7 p.m.
GAME B - Friday, Apr. 17 at 7 p.m.
GAME C - Monday, Apr. 27 at 7 p.m.*
GAME D - Tuesday, Apr. 28 at 7 p.m.*

If Colorado is able to earn home ice advantage, then the Reign will have home games on the following dates:
GAME A - Sunday, Apr. 19 at 3 p.m.
GAME B - Monday, Apr. 20 at 7 p.m.
GAME C - Tuesday, Apr. 28 at 7 p.m.*
*if necessary
