Reign Takes Over Top Spot In ECHL Attendance
December 17, 2009 - ECHL (ECHL)
Ontario Reign News Release
ONTARIO, Calif. - The Ontario Reign, the proud affiliate of the Los Angeles Kings, has the highest average attendance in the ECHL after 6,589 fans turned out for the Reign game against the Bakersfield Condors on Wednesday, December 16th at Citizens Business Bank Arena.
Being number one in attendance is a big accomplishment for the Ontario Reign, but holding on to that is an even bigger challenge. The Stockton Thunder have finished the last four seasons at number one. "It is a tremendous honor and accomplishment to be number one in the ECHL's average attendance," said James Collins, the Reign's VP of Ticket Sales/Services, "Teams like Stockton and Toledo have done a tremendous job and we'll have to work hard to keep the number one spot the remainder of the season. We would really like to thank our fans for all their support. We couldn't have done this without them."
The Reign will look to build on that at the number one spot when they take on the Las Vegas Wranglers on Friday, December 18th. In recognition of the Los Angeles Kings Affiliate Night, the Reign will be wearing the old black and silver Kings style jersey. The jerseys will be auctioned off at the end of the game with proceeds going to benefit the Jr. Reign Youth Hockey program.
Ontario Reign tickets are available at www.ontarioreign.com or by calling (909) 941-PUCK (7825).
