"The University of Washington and the Pac-12 have always stood for excellence," said Solo in Tuesday's release from the University of Washington. "Some of my most memorable life experiences and most fun playing days took place while I was a student athlete at Washington. I'm a Husky for life and a proud member of the Pac-12. There have been many great players over the past several decades, so it's an an honor to be a part of the All-Century Team for the Conference of Champions!"

Solo has been a key part of the U.S. Women's National Team, establishing herself as one of the best keepers in the world since she joined the WNT in 2000. She won the 2015 Women's World Cup with the U.S. and the Golden Glove award as the best goalkeeper in the tournament. Solo also won the Golden Glove award in 2011 when the U.S. finished in second in the World Cup, where she also won the Bronze Ball award for her overall performance.

Two former Reign FC players, midfielder Teresa Noyola of Stanford (2008-2011) and forward Sydney Leroux of UCLA (2008-2011), were named to the team as well. Noyola played in Seattle during the National Women's Soccer League's inaugural season in 2013. She appeared in 11 matches (8 starts) and tallied one goal and one assist while Leroux joined Reign FC for the 2014 season and tallied 5 goals through 22 matches (21 starts).

Additionally, Longtime UW head coach and former Reign FC broadcast talent Lesle Gallimore was also named to the All-Century team. Gallimore was named to the Pac-12 All-Century team as a starting defender representing Cal, where she starred as a defender from 1982-1986 and received multiple honors. In 1985, she was recognized as one of the top-10 female players in the U.S.

"Cal and Washington women's soccer have been so very good to me over the years and today I am as grateful as ever to have been given so many life-altering opportunities by these two extremely special places," said Gallimore in UW's release. "Tina Ellertson and Hope Solo both had amazing careers here at UW and beyond, and both have stories that have inspired me as a coach on a daily basis. I couldn't be more proud to be included with them on the All-Centrury team.
