SEATTLE (October 20, 2014) - The W-League in Australia and the Frauen Bundesliga in Germany rounded out their sixth and eighth weeks, respectively, while play continued in the UEFA Women's Champions League. Here's a look back at how the ball bounced for Reign FC players on loan in their most recent matches, as well as National Team updates.

LEAGUE PLAY:

Australia - W-League

Keelin Winters and the Western Sydney Wanderers were unable to contain the Newcastle Jets at home on Saturday, October 18 and ended up losing 5-1. The Wanderers now head on the road to face the number two team in the league, Sydney FC on Saturday, October 25.

Lauren Barnes and Elli Reed played 90 and 18 minutes respectively in Melbourne Victory's 1-1 draw with Brisbane Roar on October 18. The Victory are now 3-1-2 and sitting in third place.

Kendall Fletcher was unavailable for Canberra United's 2-3 loss against league leaders Adelaide United on October 18.

Cyprus - Cypriot First Division

Haley Kopmeyer and Apollon Limassol played a hard fought match against Brøndby in their second leg of the UEFA Women's Champions League, falling 3-2 in extra time. The loss put them behind 4-3 on aggregate and eliminates them from the tournament.

Germany - Frauen Bundesliga

Jess Fishlock and her side FFC Frankfurt had a busy week, as they competed in both the UEFA Women's Champions League and continued their league play in the Frauen Bundesliga. On October 16, Fishlock played 90 minutes in FFC Frankfurt's 3-0 win over BIIK Kazygurt, putting them ahead 6-2 on aggregate, and advancing them to Round 16 of the tournament which picks up on November 9.

In the Frauen Bundesliga, FFC Frankfurt rolled away with all three points on October 19, defeating Bayer Leverkusen 3-0. Fishlock played another 90 minutes for the German side, who now sit in third place with 19 points, just one point behind the first and second place teams.

Kate Deines and her German side Turbine Potsdam continue the search for their earlier form as they dropped another two points after drawing 3-3 against Duisburg on October 19. Deines was available on the bench for Potsdam but wasn't used during the course of the match. Potsdam are currently in fourth place with 16 points.

The Frauen Bundesliga will now enter an international break and play will resume on November 8.

NATIONAL TEAM UPDATES:

Leroux, Rapinoe and Solo Influence Both Qualifying Matches

Sydney Leroux, Megan Rapinoe and Hope Solo had quite the week, having played in both CONCACAF Women's Championship matches for the U.S. Women's National Team.

On October 15, the USWNT earned a 1-0 victory over Trinidad & Tobago with Abby Wamback putting away the lone goal of the night. Reign FC midfielder Megan Rapinoe and goalkeeper Hope Solo both started the match for the UWSNT, while forward Sydney Leroux entered the game as a sub in the 61st minute.

On October 17, the USWNT continued their CONCACAF Women's Championship campaign with a 5-0 win over Guatemala. Reign FC midfielder Megan Rapinoe, forward Sydney Leroux and goalkeeper Hope Solo all started and played a full 90 minutes for the USWNT.

Both Leroux and Rapinoe were influential throughout the course of the match, as Leroux picked up two assists and Rapinoe picked up an assist and a goal, firing a rocket from the top of the box to put the U.S. up by five goals.

On the defensive end, Solo extended her career record shutout streak to 75 games.

Little Called Up For Scottish National Team World Cup Qualifier Playoff Matches

Reign FC midfielder Kim Little has been named to the Scotland Women's National Team roster that will play in two playoff matches against the Netherlands on October 25 at Tynecastle Stadium in Edinburgh, Scotland as well as October 30 at Sparta Stadium in Rotterdam, Netherlands.

Though Scotland missed out on automatic qualification for the World Cup after their 2-0 loss to Sweden on September 17, the playoff race gives the Scots an opportunity to grab the last European spot and book their ticket to the 2015 FIFA Women's World Cup in Canada.

The winner will go on to a playoff final against either Italy or Ukraine, in late November.
