ONTARIO, Calif. - The Ontario Reign (18-7-1-0), defending Pacific Division Champions and proud affiliate of the NHL's 2012 Stanley Cup Champion Los Angeles Kings, lost 6-3 to the Las Vegas Wranglers (10-11-1-3) before a crowd of 7,493 on Wednesday night.

The game was scoreless until 3:39 of the second period when Colton Yellow Horn scored his 17th goal of the season to put Ontario up 1-0. Derek Couture reversed direction along the goal line and snapped a saucer pass toward the front of the net where Yellow Horn redirected it past goaltender Mark Owuya. Dan DaSilva also had an assist. Eric Lampe tied the game with a power-play goal at 8:51 as he tipped in Charlie Cook's shot from the blue line. The Reign regained the lead at 13:00. Mario Lamoureux set up a screen in front of Owuya which allowed Brodie Sheahan to skate into the slot and lift a wrist shot into the top of the cage.

Las Vegas drew even again at 2:54 of the third stanza. Chris Francis threw the puck to the front of the Reign net and it found an opening between Chris Carrozzi's pads to make it 2-2. The Wranglers got their first lead of the game on a goal by Adam Huxley at 6:48 and extended their lead to 5-2 with a power-play goal by Andrew Sarauer at 14:34 and an empty-net goal by Sean Wiles at 16:16. Lamoureux picked up his 11th marker of the season at 18:36 before Sarauer extended the Las Vegas lead to 6-3 with his second goal of the game, an empty-netter at 19:12.

Carrozzi gave up four goals on 26 shots in the loss while Owuya let in three goals on 29 shots to earn the win.
