Reign Complete Midwest Swing with 3-1 Win at Rockford

Rockford, IL - Forward T.J. Hensick scored twice to help the Ontario Reign (5-3-3-0) over the Rockford IceHogs (5-8-1-0) 3-1 at BMO Harris Bank Center Sunday afternoon.

Reign forward T.J. Hensick broke open the scoring with 40 seconds left in the first period, deflecting a shot from defenseman Paul LaDue past the glove of IceHogs goalie Lars Johansson. Forward Sam Herr picked up the second assist.

Hensick gave the Reign a two-goal advantage on the power play at 11:43 of the second period catching a pass from below the goal line from Mike Amadio and past a sliding Johansson. Justin Auger added the second assist.

Early in the third period, the IceHogs cut the lead in half as forward Kyle Baun lit the lamp 58 seconds into the frame. Forward Jonny Brodzinski responded for the Reign off an odd-man rush at 14:08 with help from defenseman Kurtis MacDermid. The Reign finished the contest 1-for-2 on the power play while the IceHogs went 0-for-3.

The Ontario Reign close a three-game road trip on Friday, November 18 against the Stockton Heat.
