Reign Acquire Bowen from Gladiators

ONTARIO, Calif. - The Ontario Reign, proud affiliate of the NHL's Los Angeles Kings, announced today that they have acquired rookie defenseman Pat Bowen in a trade from the Gwinnett Gladiators for future considerations.

Bowen, 25, played four seasons with Merrimack College (H-East), recording 43 points (4g, 39a) and 146 penalty minutes in 124 games with the Warriors. The Marshfield, Massachusetts native served as team captain in his senior year with Merrimack, finishing the season with a career-high 19 points (1g, 18a). Bowen spent one year with the USHL's Chicago Steel prior to attending Merrimack, and accumulated 10 points (4g, 6a) and 70 penalty minutes in 60 games with the Steel.

Don't miss the Reign's first home game of the season against the Stockton Thunder on Saturday, October 23 at 7:00 p.m, presented by San Manuel Indian Bingo & Casino. All fans in attendance will receive a 2010 - 2011 magnet schedule, compliments of Shakey's Pizza. Cameron "the Crazy Fan" will be making an appearance at the game. He will be tossing out t-shirts and getting the crowd pumped. The first post-game player party of the season will be held at Boston's Restaurant (4th & Milliken location) immediately following the game.
