WHAT THEY'RE SAYING

"Personally, it& #39;s good to get to know the fans," said Valette, who returns for his third season as a center/left wing. "We also get to show (the fans) a couple of skills. It's kind of rewarding to see the support of the fans here, especially in this community."

Captain Craig Valette, on "FanFest" at Stockton Arena, The Record (Oct. 11, 2010)

"This community - Stockton and San Joaquin County and even beyond - has gravitated to this hockey team like nothing I have ever seen in 20-something years in this market," Chapman said. "The Thunder has really captivated this region more than anything I anticipated. It's our job to maintain that, and our staff works very hard at doing that."

Thunder president Dan Chapman, The Record (Oct. 14, 2010)

A two-time recipient of the ECHL "Award of Excellence," Thunder was voted "Best Local Sports Team" by readers of the San Joaquin Magazine, led the ECHL in attendance for four consecutive seasons and drew over 200,000 fans for the fifth consecutive season in 2009-10.
