RedHawks Top Saints 3-2 in Exhibition Play

FARGO, ND - The Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks defeated the St. Paul Saints 3-2 on Monday night in American Association exhibition play at Newman Outdoor Field in Fargo, ND. Both teams are now 1-1 in the pre-season.

Fargo-Moorhead starting pitcher Luis Sanz picked up the win with 4.0 innings of scoreless baseball. He struck out five Saints batters in his RedHawks debut. Nate Garcia earned the save for the RedHawks, striking out four batters in 1.1 innings pitched.

The RedHawks were led at the plate by Ronnie Bourquin, who was 3-for-5 with two doubles and two RBIs. Chase Burch was 3-for-5 with a double, and Brandon Newton finished the game 2-for-5.

The two teams will play a final game at Newman Outdoor Field at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday before taking a day off and resuming play against each other in St. Paul on Thursday and Friday. There will be no services available for fans at Thursday's game.
