RH Guillermo Moscoso (1-2, 4.30) vs. RH Bryan Bullington (2-0, 1.63)
TONIGHT: The Oklahoma City RedHawks conclude the first series of their two-city road trip with a series finale at Omaha's Rosenblatt Stadium. OKC won yesterday's game 9-2 to take a 2-1 series lead. The RedHawks have dropped four straight series finales and are 1-5 in that department this season. OKC is leading the American South Division by 3 games over Albuquerque. Omaha is second, 3.5 games back of Nashville in the American North. Righthander Guillermo Moscoso gets the start for Oklahoma City against Omaha righthander Bryan Bullington.
KIRKMAN EXTENDS SCORELESS INNING STREAK: OKC lefty Michael Kirkman pitched 5 scoreless innings in yesterday's 9-2 win, upping is record to 4-0 and extending his scoreless innings streak 22.2, the longest by a RedHawk this year. The streak encompasses all of his last 3 starts and the final 3 innings of his April 20 outing at Nashville.
BOGGS BASHES: Brandon Boggs went 2-for-5 with a 3-run homer and 4 RBIs yesterday. The current PCL Player of the Week is 15-for-34 (.441) over his last 9 games with 4 home runs, 3 doubles and 2 triples. All 9 of his extra-base hits for the season have been in the last 9 games. Only Las Vegas' Chris Aguila (12-for-23, .522) and Round Rock's Matt Kata (16-for-36, .444) have higher batting averages than Boggs since April 26. Boggs has played 8 straight games in center field since Craig Gentry's recall by Texas.
SETTING THE PACE: OKC leads the PCL with 167 runs, 26 more than second place Albuquerque. The RedHawks lead the PCL in home runs (29), slugging percentage (.466) and triples (14), while second in on-base percentage (.363) and team batting (.291). The RedHawks have outscored the opposition 167-111, owning the best run differential (+56) in the league.
FROM THE MOUND: OKC's 3.28 ERA remains second behind Nashville's 3.12. Derek Holland leads the PCL in ERA at 0.93 (see table below), while Michael Kirkman is eighth at 1.82. Brandon McCarthy, on the DL with a stress reaction in his right shoulder, is 13th at 2.51.
NO BOBBLES: OKC has played back-to-back errorless games for the first time since April 17-18. For the season, the RedHawks are 7-8 in games with an error and 10-2 when error-free.
SALTED AWAY: Jarrod Saltalamacchia did not play yesterday, but brings an 11-game hitting streak into tonight, the best by a RedHawk this year. During the streak, Saltalamacchia is 17-for-44 (.318) with 3 homers and 9 RBIs.
DE-FROSTED: Emerson Frostad's 7-game hitting streak was snapped yesterday. During the streak, Frostad batted .409 (9-for-22) with 5 RBIs. Frostad has played in 7 straight games, twice appearing as a substitute, after appearing in only 5 of the team's first 20.
DAILY HOLLAND UPDATE: Derek Holland's 0.93 ERA ranks ninth in all of professional baseball (majors, affiliated minors and Mexico) among those with enough innings to qualify for the ERA race in their particular league. Here are the top ERA qualifiers to date:
