Tonight's Game-- The RedHawks will try to avoid losing three straight as they return to AutoZone park to face the Redbirds at 6:05 p.m.

Last Night-- Memphis shortstop Ryan Jackson hit a grand slam and the RedHawks struggled to get clutch hits all night, as the Redbirds triumphed 6-2. Leading 1-0 with none on and two outs in the second, catcher Bryan Anderson and pitcher Nick Additon both singled before a walk to Cedric Hunter loaded the bases. Jackson then deposited a ball onto the grass berm in left field for his first grand slam to put Memphis ahead 5-0. The RedHawks got on the board in the fifth when Jimmy Paredes connected on his 10th home run of the season. Matt Adams knocked an RBI double for the Redbirds in the seventh to plate Memphis' final run. Travis Buck also hit an RBI double for Oklahoma City in the eighth to make it 6-2. Making a spot start, Sergio Perez (2-2) took the loss for the RedHawks, surrendering five runs and four hits over three innings.

Today's Probable Pitchers-- Paul Clemens heads to the mound looking to turn things around...Clemens is winless in his last six starts, going 0-3 with a 7.39 ERA...He has allowed four or more runs in eight straight starts and his 6.66 ERA this season is currently the highest among qualifying pitchers in the PCL...Clemens has especially struggled on the road, going 3-5 with a 9.87 ERA away from Oklahoma City...However Memphis may be the team that helps him get back in the right direction...In two starts against the Redbirds, Clemens has allowed three runs and nine hits over 12 innings...PCL All-Star Brandon Dickson makes the start for Memphis...Dickson is second on the team with four wins and leads the squad with 93.0 IP...Dickson has performed consistently all season, although his current 3.87 ERA is the highest it's been all year...On Monday, Dickson allowed five runs and 10 hits over five innings in Albuquerque...Like Clemens, he has performed well against tonight's opponent, allowing three runs and 13 hits over 11.1 IP against the RedHawks this season.

Wrong Turn on Road Trip-- During their four-game sweep in Omaha, the RedHawks scored 42 runs and went 19-for-42 (.452) with runners in scoring position. Over their first two games in Memphis, they've scored three runs and have gone 1-for-16 with runners in scoring position.

Non-Home Improvement-- Even though they have dropped the first two games of this series, it's the first time the RedHawks have lost consecutively over their last 15 road games.

All Hits Are Not Created Equal-- The Redbirds have only outhit the RedHawks 18-17 over these two games, but Memphis has hit five home runs, plating 10 of their 14 runs.

The Barnyard-- During his current nine-game hitting streak, Brandon Barnes is hitting .475 (19-for-40) with six multi-hit games. He's notched eight extra-base hits, including two homers, and eight RBIs.

Streak Snapped in Pinch-- For the second straight night, a RedHawk's 10-game hitting streak came to an end after making an out in his only plate appearance as a pinch hitter. J.B. Shuck saw his10-game hitting streak terminated after flying out in the fourth. He went 14-for-31 (.452) during the streak.

Who's Your Daddy?-- In the seven games since Jimmy Paredes returned from paternity leave, he has gone 17-for-32 (.531) with three homers and nine RBIs. He is tied for fifth in the PCL with 122 hits this season.

Wally's World-- During his current seven-game hitting streak, Brett Wallace is hitting .538 (14-for-26).

Fabulous Fernando-- Fernando Martinez has hit safely in his last nine games as well as in his last 11 straight starts. During the nine-game streak he is hitting .378 (14-for-37) with two homers and six RBIs.

Drought Beyond the Midwest-- Mike Hessman has not homered since July 5 in New Orleans. The 13-game streak without a homer is his longest of the season. He still comfortably leads the PCL with 27 dingers this season.

Double Trouble-- The RedHawks have hit into 13 double plays over the last six games.

Sunday Funday-- The RedHawks have won three straight Sunday games as well as five of their last seven while wrapping up the weekend.

What's in a Name?-- With the addition of catcher Chris Wallace, the only two players in affiliated baseball with the surname Wallace are both on the RedHawks.

Against the Redbirds-- This is the final series in 2012 between these two teams, and so far the RedHawks have won eight of 14 meetings, but the Redbirds have won the last four at AutoZone Park...Their last meeting in OKC featured a memorable walk-off home run by Fernando Martinez in the 10th on July 3 to give the RedHawks an 11-10 win...Martinez has bashed four homers and collected 15 RBIs while slugging .608...Former Redbird Brett Wallace is hitting .425 over 11 games against Memphis...Mark Hamilton is turning into a RedHawk slayer, going 9-for-16 with three homers and 10 RBIs.
