TODAY: The RedHawks and Nashville Sounds meet in the third of a 4-game series at AT&T Bricktown Ballpark. The series is even 1-1 after Nashville halted OKC's 5-game winning streak last night with an 8-5 win. Elizardo Ramirez gets the start for OKC. Ramirez is 14th in the PCL in ERA for the month of July with a 2.77 mark in 4 starts. He lost his previous start this year against the Sounds June 19, allowing 9 runs on 10 hits in 4 innings. Nashville will start lefty Chris Cody a day early after the callup of scheduled starter Tim Dillard yesterday. OKC is second, 1.5 games back in the American South. Nashville leads the American North by 3.
NASHVILE EVENS SERIES: The RedHawks saw a 5-game winning streak come to an end after failing to hold an early 4-1 lead in Nashville's 8-5 win. The Sounds scored go-ahead runs off Neftali Feliz (4-6) in the seventh and eighth innings to pin the first relief loss on Feliz in 10 outings. Feliz entered in a 4-4 game in the seventh and allowed a run, which the RedHawks matched against R.J. Swindle (3-1) in the seventh for his third blown save against OKC in his last 3 chances. Swindle wound up with the win when Nashville scored again in the eighth against Feliz and added 2 off Mike Hinckley, 1 unearned, in the ninth. Alcides Escobar went 5-for-5 with a triple for the Sounds' first 5-hit game since Prince Fielder collected 5 hits at Colorado Springs Aug. 6, 2005. Nashville out-hit OKC 14-7.
IT'S A RACE: OKC is 13-9 this month, featuring the PCL's second-most wins in July behind Albuquerque (14-7) and Sacramento (14-8). The Isotopes are 8-1 at home this month, losing last night to Iowa 11-2, and 6-6 on the road. OKC has had sole possession of second place every day in July and has dropped 1 game in the standings to the Isotopes this month. The RedHawks are 1.5 games back today after starting play July 1 a half-game back. OKC wraps up the season series with Albuquerque with a 4-game set starting Tuesday night at Isotopes Park.
DAVIS AT 5: Chris Davis has hit safely in 5 straight. In 17 games with the RedHawks, Davis has 8 multi-hit and 6 multiple-RBI games. He's failed to hit safely only 3 times. The RedHawks are 11-6 since he joined the team July 6.

OKC also has a league-best 12 wins (12-3) in games tied after 8 innings.
