Reddick Honored As Americans 2010 Playoff MVP

KENNEWICK, WA - Tri-City Americans Governor/General Manager announced today that 19-year-old Kruise Reddick has been named the team's 2010 playoff Most Valuable Player.

The 5'8, 177 pound forward from Manor, Saskatchewan appeared in all 22 playoff games in 2010, recording a team-high 11 goals and 24 points while leading Tri-City to the team's first-ever Western Conference Championship and appearance in the WHL Finals. After an impressive run in 2010, the four-year forward now ranks second all-time on Tri-City's all-time playoff scoring list (17+2946), behind only current Calgary Flames star Daymond Langkow.

"(Kruise) had an exceptional post-season and showed a real knack for contributing offensively in big moments," said Tory. "It's truly been exciting to see his growth and development over the past four seasons in an Americans uniform."

In other news Monday, Americans' Governor/General Manager Bob Tory announced that 19-year-old forward Todd Kennedy and 19-year-old defenseman Riley McIntosh have been placed on WHL waivers and will not be returning to the club in 2010-11.

"Both Todd and Riley were key contributors this season and we would like to thank them for their efforts and contributions to the team," said Tory. "We wish them all the best wherever their futures take them."

Kennedy, a 6'3, 212 pound forward from Kamloops, BC, was traded to Tri-City from Vancouver in late November. After appearing in just 10 regular season games, Kennedy appeared in all 22 playoff games for Tri-City, collecting two goals and six penalty minutes in that span.

McIntosh, a 6'5, 205 pound defenseman from Coquitlam, BC, arrived in Tri-City at the end of November last season from Kelowna. He played in 78 career games for Tri-City, collecting 10 points and 67 penalty minutes.
