Brandon, Manitoba - Manitoba hockey fans received some great news Monday night as the Canadian Hockey League announced that over fifty MasterCard Memorial Cup Ticket packages have been returned to the Local Host Organizing Committee.
Up until this week the CHL was holding over one thousand tickets for sponsors, the three major junior leagues, the National hockey League and CHL teams. The balance of the tickets - over 4,100 - have been sold by the Western Hockey League's Brandon Wheat Kings and the Host Organizing Committee.
In making the announcement, Host Chairman Jeff Cristall says that fans that have already purchased "Assigned Standing Room Only" tickets over the course of the past two weeks will have the opportunity to upgrade to one of the recently released seats.
