Moose Jaw Warriors News Release
Moose Jaw, SK. --- The Moose Jaw Warriors welcomed first round, 21st overall, Bantam Draft pick Torrin White to the Warriors organization Saturday with a press conference.
White spent last season with the Airdrie X-treme and put up impressive numbers. "Torrin has a great combination of skill and intensity and plays far bigger than he is," stated Director of Hockey Operations Jeff Truitt. "Torrin's skill and speed, along with his goal scoring was a key factor in the draft, but it was his intensity and competitiveness that really stood out," added Jeff Truitt. "I'm sure that when Torrin attends camp in the fall, people will see those very characteristics," said Truitt. "He has the capability of complimenting the players around him," added Truitt.
Torrin is pleased to become part of the Warriors organization. "I was definitely excited when Moose Jaw chose me. I was hoping to go to a Saskatchewan team and Moose Jaw was my number one choice," said White. "Going in the first round was a nice surprise; especially considering it was Moose Jaw," added White. Torrin White not only is excited to join the tribe, a new facility makes a future with the Warriors even brighter. "With a new arena coming, it's the perfect time to be part of this team; being part of the group of players to start a new legacy in Moose Jaw will make for a special time," said White.
