
RedBlacks Sign Linebacker Brad Cowan, Bring Back Three Others

OTTAWA - The Ottawa REDBLACKS continue to build their 2021 training camp roster, inking linebacker and 2020 CFL Draft selection Brad Cowan and re-signing three returning players on Wednesday, including defensive back and fellow Canadian Dagogo Maxwell and a pair of American defensive backs, Brandin Dandridge and Marcus Roberson.
National linebacker Brad Cowan
Drafted in the sixth-round, 47th overall, by the Ottawa REDBLACKS in the 2020 CFL draft, Cowan played for the Wilfrid Laurier Golden Hawks from 2016 to 2019, accumulating 63.5 tackles.

National defensive back Dagogo Maxwell
A fifth-round draft selection in 2018 out of UBC, Maxwell recorded six special-teams tackles in 2019, his first CFL campaign with Calgary. Maxwell signed with Ottawa prior to the 2020 season that was later canceled.

American defensive back Brandin Dandridge
Dandridge arrived in Ottawa in the middle of the 2019 season. In only four games played for the REDBLACKS, he recorded 12 defensive tackles and added 4 pass breakups to his totals as well.

American defensive back Marcus Roberson
Roberson played in 11 games for the REDBLACKS in 2018, recording 20 defensive tackles and 2 interceptions. He played college football at the University of Florida. He signed with the St. Louis Rams as an undrafted free agent after the 2014 NFL Draft. He played in 25 career games with the Rams, accumulating 39 tackles, one interception and seven passes defensed.
