RedBlacks Sign DL Reshaan Davis and Bring Back Jackson and Pickett

OTTAWA - The Ottawa REDBLACKS continue to build their 2021 training camp roster, inking defensive lineman and 2020 CFL Draft selection Reshaan Davis and re-signing two returning players on Thursday, including American defensive lineman Darius Jackson and National offensive lineman Andrew Pickett.

American defensive lineman, Darius Jackson

Jackson arrived to Ottawa in the middle of the 2019 season. In only five games with the REDBLACKS, Jackson has accumulated six defensive tackles, six tackles on the special-teams and one sack. Before joining Ottawa, he got an NFL look from the Jacksonville Jaguars, got a workout with the Oakland Raiders and started the 2019 season with Edmonton. In 2016, while playing for Jacksonville State University, Jackson one the Ohio Valley Conference Defensive Player of the Year.

National offensive lineman, Andrew Pickett

Drafted in the third round, 22nd overall, by the Ottawa REDBLACKS in the 2018 CFL Draft, Pickett signed with the club in May 2018. Pickett played his college football at Guelph, where he had a tremendous impact on the Gryphons football program on and off the field.

National defensive lineman, Reshaan Davis

In the 2020 CFL Draft, the Ottawa REDBLACKS selected Davis at the beginning of the seventh round with the 56th overall pick. In 2019, Davis was named a U SPORTS First Team All-Canadian, Davis was a physical force for the Gee-Gees. After being selected to the East-West Bowl in 2019, Davis was second in OUA this season with 11.5 tackles for loss and fourth in sacks with seven.
