RedBlacks Select LB Deshawn Stevens with Sixth Overall Pick in 2021 CFL Draft

OTTAWA - The Ottawa REDBLACKS selected linebacker Deshawn Stevens with their first round pick, sixth overall, in the 2021 CFL Draft on Tuesday night.
The Toronto native had an incredible 2018 season for the University of Maine. He recorded 120 tackles (17 for a loss), nine sacks, two fumble recoveries. Stevens was named Maine's top defensive player and helped the Black Bears capture a CAA title.
With the pick, Stevens joins the likes of Adam Auclair, Alex Fontana, Nolan MacMillan, Antoine Pruneau, Alex Mateas, Jason Lauzon-Seguin, Mark Korte and Evan Johnson as first-round draft selections of the REDBLACKS.
The REDBLACKS also hold the following picks in the 2021 draft:

Round 4, 31th overall
Round 5, 42nd overall
