OTTAWA - The Ottawa REDBLACKS have re-signed Global kicker Jose Maltos and Global receiver Guillermo Villalobos, the club announced today.
Global kicker Jose Maltos
The Ottawa REDBLACKS acquired Maltos second overall in the 2019 CFL-LFA Draft. Prior to the Draft, he spent the 2018 season with the BC Lions organization. In 2013, he was signed by the New Orleans Saints after playing college football at Universidad Autónoma de Nuevo León in Mexico. Maltos represented Mexico in Europe at the 2011 IFAF World Championship.

Global receiver Guillermo Villalobos
In 2019, Villalobos was selected as the 11th pick of the 2019 CFL-LFA Draft by the Ottawa REDBLACKS. He made his CFL debut on July 25th 2019 against the Calgary Stampeders and went on to play in eight games during his first season. Before joining Ottawa, Villalobos played professionally in Mexico with the Mexicas, where he won a LFA championship, the MVP title and the 2019 award for Best Receiver.
