
Redbirds defeat Isotopes, 8-3

For the third consecutive Spring Training contest, the Albuquerque Isotopes were dealt a defeat as today the âTopes were beaten 8-3 by the Memphis Redbirds in Jupiter, Florida.
Outfielder James Shanks swung the bat well for the Isotopes in a losing cause, coming through with a single and an RBI double, while catcher Jonathan Aceves also collected a single and a double, the third straight spring contest in which he's recorded a hit.
Albuquerque will travel to Port St. Lucie, Florida tomorrow to take on the Norfolk Tides, Triple-A affiliate of the New York Mets.
