
Red Stars Release Two From Preseason Roster

BRIDGEVIEW, Ill. -- The Chicago Red Stars released two players from their 2010 preseason roster -- midfielder Chioma Igwe and forward Becky Ryan.
The Red Stars currently have 26 players on their preseason roster. WPS teams officially announce their first cutdown from 28 to 24 players on Tuesday, March 16. Teams then will announce their official 2010 roster (18 players plus four optional development players) on April 1.
The Chicago Red Stars are members of Women's Professional Soccer and play their home games at Toyota Park in Bridgeview, Ill. The Red Stars enter their second season in the eight-team WS, and their 2010 home opener takes place on Saturday, April 17, against Saint Louis Athletica.
