Oklahoma City Yard Dawgz News Release
OKLAHOMA CITY - The Oklahoma City Yard Dawgz and the Rio Grande Valley Dorados are two of the hottest teams in af2 right now and they will square off this Saturday night June 4th at the Ford Center in Oklahoma City. The Yard Dawgz have won two straight games including last weekend's victory over the Quad City Steamwheelers.
"The win versus Quad City was a good win for us," said Yard Dawgz head coach Jeff Jarnigan. "It is a tough venue to go in and win at, and we did a good job of coming out strong in the third quarter and staying up one score on them."
The Yard Dawgz have five out of their last eight games at home in the friendly confines of the Ford Center. Both teams are back in the National Conference playoff race as they begin the second half of the af2 season. The Dorados have won five out of their last six games and have had the af2 ADT Defensive Player of the Week the past two weeks in Norman Mason.
The Yard Dawgz receiving corps will no doubt test the Defensive Player of the Week. Jarrail Jackson leads the Yard Dawgz. Jackson is among the league leaders in numerous offensive categories, including receptions, receiving yards, and receiving yards per game.
YARD DAWGZ NOTES: The Yard Dawgz will be at home again next Saturday night, June 11th when they face the Amarillo Dusters...Kickoff is set for 7:30 pm...Fans, may view a seating map by visiting www.okcyarddawgz.com.
