Red Claws, Weathervane Team Up For Kids On May 26

PORTLAND, ME - The Maine Red Claws, presented by Quirk Chevrolet, in association with the Weathervane Seafood Restaurant in South Portland, are proud to announce Crusher will be on hand May 26 from 6:00 PM - 7:30 PM to help celebrate the beginning of summer. All Crusher's Kids Club members who turn out for the event will receive a $1.99 meal and free sundae as they dine with their favorite basketball playing crustacean. The Weathervane Seafood Restaurant is located at 380 Gorham Road in South Portland, near the Maine Mall.

Maine children under 12 who are not already a member of the club will be able to sign up during the event to receive the discount. Parents may also print out an application from the Red Claws website www.maineredclaws.com. There is no cost to join the club, and parental permission is required.

Crusher's Kids Club, presented by Oakhurst Dairy, is open to all Maine children 12 years old and under. Members are treated to events throughout the year with Crusher, Oakhurst's mascot Oakie the Acorn and Red Claws players. During the 2009-10 season, Kids Club members were treated to several on-court opportunities, including rocking around the Christmas tree at center court and doing the chicken dance during a break in the action. Members also receive a monthly e-newsletter, wristband and sticker as well as the opportunity to receive discounts for area businesses.
